Chief Alexander P. del Valle is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 51st Fighter Wing, Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea. He is charged to ensure the wing is ready to defend Osan Air Base, execute combat operations, and sustain the force. He is entrusted with the operational readiness, training, morale, and welfare of all assigned enlisted personnel. Chief del Valle provides assistance, guidance, and expertise to four group and 17 squadron commanders, group chiefs and installation first sergeants. Additionally, the Chief is responsible for the installation support and quality of life of over 5,500 personnel assigned to the 51st Fighter Wing, Headquarters Seventh Air Force, and other U.S. Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corps units.

Chief del Valle joined the United States Air Force in October 1989 and graduated Air Traffic Control (ATC) technical training at Keesler Air Force Base (AFB), Miss., in March 1990. His functional background includes air traffic control tower and radar approach control (RAPCON) operations as well as deployed mobile TPN-19 and TSW-7 ATC facilities. Outside of the ATC career field, the chief has served as squadron and group superintendent as well as an in-garrison and deployed command chief.

Chief del Valle has vast operational deployment experience, serving in forward operating locations in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Pakistan, Iraq, and Afghanistan in support of numerous named operations including Operations CORAL RELIEF, SOUTHERN WATCH, ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, and FREEDOM’S SENTINEL. Prior to his current position, Chief del Valle served as the Senior Enlisted Leader, Train, Advise, Assist Command-Air and Command Chief Master Sergeant 438th Air Expeditionary Wing, Forward Operating Base Oqab, Kabul, Afghanistan.
