Why did you join the military? I was 22 and I needed a sense of direction and purpose for my life. The Air Force has given me that and so much more. It's been the best decision I've ever made.

Where do you see yourself in 10 or 20 years: If I have the good fortune to still be in the military in 10 or 20 years, I hope to be on track for making senior master sergeant or maybe even chief master sergeant. If I happen to not be in the military, I would like to be working for a non-profit organization like the Red Cross or Humane Society.

What do you do for fun here? I'm enjoying the Information Tickers and Travel tours and exploring around the peninsula.

What's your favorite Air Force memory or story? At my last base, I helped organize our medical group picnic and we staged a surprise dance-off between our AMDS squadron commander and the one and only Darth Vader. They danced to the Macarena and sadly, the Force was not with our commander ... he lost the dance-off.

What accomplishment are you most proud of? Making staff sergeant

Who are your role models? My mom. She spent six years in the Army, she's a single mother, a cancer survivor and just an all-around brave soul. A majority of my good qualities come from her.
