51st FW announces annual award recipients

OSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea -- Nine Airmen and civilians were recognized at the 51st Fighter Wing Annual Awards banquet Thursday for their outstanding job performance, commitment to their community, and tremendous contributions to the wing and Air Force.

"To all of our nominees, congratulations on your accomplishments and professional standards," Brig. Gen. Joe Reynes, 51st FW commander, said during the banquet. "Thank you for your leadership and sacrifice; you are true examples of what it means to be a good flight lead and Wingman. I am honored and proud to serve with you each and every day."

Junior Enlisted Person of the Year:
Senior Airman Greg Burian, 51st Medical Operations Squadron

NCO of the Year:
Staff Sgt. Barry Gahl, 51st Civil Engineer Squadron

Senior NCO of the Year:
Master Sgt. Benson McCallister, 51st Security Forces Squadron

Company Grade Officer of the Year:
Capt. Douglas Dodge, 51st Maintenance Operations Squadron

First Sergeant of the Year:
Senior Master Sgt. James Winkles, 51st Logistics Readiness Squadron

Honor Guard Member of the Year:
Staff Sgt. Heath Roberts, 607th Air Support Group

Manager/Supervisor/Professional Person of the Year:
Mrs. Sherri Kitchens, 51st Mission Support Squadron
