Osan's Airfield Damage Repair team exercises with Republic of Korea Air Force

Senior Airman Christopher Davis, left, Airman 1st Class Jason Alfaro, center, and Airman 1st Class Chi Li test the compaction of a filled crater using a dynamic cone pentrometer at Jungwon Air Base, Republic of Korea, Aug. 19. The reading tells if the crater is sufficiently filled and compacted to withstand aircraft landings. This process was part of a joint combined rapid runway repair training exercise with Airmen from the Republic of Korea Air Force's 19th Tactical Fighter Wing and 91st Air Civil Engineer Group. Airmen Davis, Alfaro and Chi Li are assigned to the 51st Civil Engineer Squadron, Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airmen Stephenie Wade)
