Osan Post Office implements paperless system

OSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea -- Beginning Oct. 1, the Osan Post Office will implement a new notification system for parcel pick-up. Customers will no longer receive yellow slips in their mailbox when a package arrives and will receive notification with their preferred choice of e-mail. This new procedure will save time and resources for all of the mail accounts that they manage. E-mails will eliminate the need for paper slips and will also speed up the notification time. Notifications will be sent to the military email on file, or a personal e-mail if that is on file. Customers can now scan their CAC/Dependent ID or show e-mail notification to pickup their packages. This new process will also expedite the process for picking up mail once it has arrived. The Osan Post Office has implemented these new processes to allow faster notification times for customers as well as a more expedited process to receive them.
