  • 51st Munitions Squadron

    The 51st Munitions Squadron trains hard to defend the Republic of Korea and support the wing's motto "Ready to Fight Tonight!"

  • 25th Fighter Squadron

    On Oct. 1, 1993, the 25th Fighter Squadron was activated under the 51st Wing at Osan AB, Republic of Korea. Today, the 25th Fighter Squadron Assam Draggins remain the premier close air support fighter squadron on the Korean Peninsula.

  • History: Osan Air Base

    Osan Air Base is one of two major airfields operated by the U.S. Air Force in the Republic of Korea and the only base on the peninsula entirely planned and built by the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

    Seventh Air Force is the U.S. Air Force's oldest numbered air force. The Army Air Corps first activated 7 AF on Nov. 1, 1940, as the Hawaiian Air Force, to control the growing number of air units arriving in the Territory of Hawaii that year.

  • History: 51st Fighter Wing

    The 51st Fighter Wing has an illustrious record in both combat and peace. Through a bestowal of honors, the 51st FW traces its legacy to the Jan. 15, 1941 activation of the 51st Pursuit Group (later Fighter Group) at Hamilton Field, Sacramento, Calif.

    Seventh Air Force, headquartered at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, is one of four numbered Air Forces in Pacific Air Forces.
