Osan radar gets a second chance in USAFRICOM

Airmen from the 51st Operations Support Squadron and the 51st Logistics Readiness Squadron watch as part of a GPN-20 airfield surveillance radar is lowered onto a truck bed on Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Sept. 15, 2015. The radar will be dismantled and shipped to Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, to support the Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa mission under U.S. Africa Command. By repurposing the older radar, the Department of Defense is saving $2 million. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Kristin High)
