Osan Elementary turns 25
OSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea -- Here at Osan, the elementary school is celebrating a milestone as classes begin once again for the 25th year since it was built. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held for the elementary school on 28 July, 1982 to open the new Osan Elementary School, a Department of Defense School. The school at the time offered nine classes for grades kindergarten through sixth, with a number of other activity rooms made available as well. At the time, the school cost nearly 2 million dollars, and took a year to complete.
