Airmen deploy MAAS for VS23

U.S. Air Force 51st Civil Engineer Squadron electrical power production Airmen measure cable distance for the Mobile Aircraft Arresting System (MAAS) during Vigilant Storm 23 at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Nov. 1, 2022. The MAAS reduces the time and space needed for an aircraft to make a full landing in the event of a damaged flight line. VS23 is an annually recurring, re-planned training that tests the readiness of Osan Airmen and bolsters joint partnerships during combined operations. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Dwane R.
