OSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea -- Osan Air Base will be conducting an Airbase Defense and Ground Combat Skills Exercise (51st Security Forces Squadron internal exercise) on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017 between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. local time.
This exercise is used to train new base defense personnel arriving at Osan AB to familiarize them with combat skills used here. During the exercise, ground burst simulators and smoke grenades will be used to enhance realism and the training experience. Students will also engage opposition forces with blanks fired from both rifle and machine guns. Please expect increased movement around Osan AB, as well as the sounds of weapon discharge during the training.
