How to apply for GI Bill benefits

OSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea --  In light of the recent suspension of military tuition assistance, here are instructions for Airmen to apply for G.I. Bill benefits:

1. Go to www.ebenefits.va.gov

2. Click on "Register for Premium Account" under Most Popular features.

3. Follow the step-by-step instructions to create a premium eBenefits Account.

4. After successfully creating a premium eBenefits account, click on "Apply for Benefits"

5. Click on "Apply for Veterans Benefits via VONAPP"

6. Follow the step-by-step instructions to complete VA Form 22-1990, Education Benefits Application

7. Contact base School Certifying Official to verify enrollment with the VA.
