Team Osan will host a National Prayer Breakfast at 7:30 a.m., Jan. 28 at the Officers' Club for military members and families in all branches of service.

Maj. Gen Howard D. Stendahl, Air Force Chief of Chaplains, will be guest speaking at the event. Stendahl is responsible for establishing an effective chaplain program to meet the religious needs of all members of the Air Force and their dependents, and is the senior pastor for more than 680,000 active-duty, Guard, Reserve, and civilian forces serving in the United States and overseas.

The theme during the breakfast is "Our Legacy of Religious Freedom."

The National Prayer Breakfast was established in 1953 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Its purpose was to seek divine guidance for national leadership.

Osan's remembrance of the National Prayer Breakfast is an opportunity for Team Osan to pray for our nation, our nation's leaders, and our brothers and sisters in arms who are fighting the Global War on Terror throughout the world.

Tickets are $3 and can be purchased from the base chapel. A breakfast buffet will be served. For more information, call 784-5000.
