Why did you join the military? I joined the military for a couple reasons. Prior to joining I wasn't doing very well in college which left me with financial loans but not many credits to show for them. My best friend back home was in the National Guard and it seemed everything I was paying for, he got to do for free or at a large discount. I really started to notice how many benefits there were, especially through education. Also, I wanted to go overseas and see the world!

Where do you see yourself in 10 or 20 years? I'm not exactly sure which path I will be taking to become an officer, but that is where I see myself in 10 years. I'm putting in the hard work right now to secure that slot when the time comes.

What do you do for fun here? Other than my hobbies, I am taking two courses through Univeristy of Maryland University College and have tackled five CLEP tests all while completing my CDCs. I also like to take the subway into Seoul to explore the city. I have also been trying to volunteer on the weekend and just got back from the orphanage trip this past weekend which was extremely fun.

What's your favorite Air Force memory or story? My favorite memories of the Air Force were from tech school. I had an awesome roommate and we got along real well. Even though he was stuck on in-charge of quarters duty during New Year's Eve, when he got back to the room at 6 a.m. we still made sure to celebrate.

What accomplishment are you most proud of? Other than graduating basic training and this Airman Spotlight, I'm just proud of the fact that I've turned my life around and got to where I am today.

Who are your role models? My role models include my mom, dad, brother, best friend, and my supervisor. Both my mom and dad have successful careers and always welcome new challenges, which is a quality I strive to possess. My brother, who is one year younger than me, is going to school full time while working and will have his degree in one more semester. I need to catch up to him! My best friend, whether in the gym or making beats, we are always pushing each other to progress and hone our crafts to the best of our ability. Finally, my supervisor has been an awesome mentor and is always available to help me become a better Airman.
