Members from the 51st Aerospace Medical Squadron bioenvironmental engineering flight, perform Hazmat training Oct. 20, 2011. The purpose of this training is to provide a health risk assessment that protects members from hazardous exposures through sampling and analysis. During the training members used the Hazmat Identifier which Identifies substances by matching the chemical absorption that is unique to each chemical through infrared spectroscopy from its internal library database.
