Below are just few of the things happening at Osan AB and in the local community. If you would like to have your event advertised on this page, please send an e-mail to 51FWPA@osan.af.mil. For more information, call 784-4044.

Dong Kwang Won orphanage in Suwon on 30 July.

Participants will load the bus and depart from the chapel at 1145 hrs with
an expected return of 1700 hrs. This is an excellent opportunity to serve
Korean children through play and socialization.

Volunteers may begin signing up upon receipt of this email by contacting Ms.
Pak at the chapel BY EMAIL ONLY to chong.a.pak.kor@osan.af.mil.

We have space for a maximum of 20 adults (with or without children). As we
are limited in the number of people we can take, volunteers are accepted on
a first come first served basis. Due to demand and a desire to give people
from every unit an equal opportunity, we do not process mass sign ups from
single units. Individuals must sign themselves up.

***PLEASE NOTE***
If you are one of the first 20 people to sign up you will receive a
confirmation email for the trip. Once the trip is full a waiting list will
be created as there are usually people who find themselves unable to attend.

Please do not register unless you are fully committed to attending. IF YOU
ARE NOT ONE OF THE FIRST 20 PEOPLE TO SIGN UP OR ARE NOT ON THE WAITING LIST
YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE ANOTHER EMAIL. IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION
EMAIL YOU ARE NOT ON THE LIST OF PARTICIPANTS.

If you have had a smallpox vaccination recently (i.e., the vaccination site
still needs to be covered per MDG guidance) or if you have cold or flu
symptoms, please do not sign up for the trip. Viral and bacterial
infections are a very serious concern for the children who live in tight
quarters in these orphanages and for the adults that care for them.
