The Air Force has a long-standing tradition of taking care of its people and takes pride in the great strides it has made to improve the quality of life for Airmen, to include DoD civilians, dependents and retirees.

Since its inception in 2009, the Caring for People Forum concept has evolved quickly and is now a preferred means for Air Force leaders to receive community feedback for review, action and resolution.

At the conclusion of the 2010 Forum an Integrated Process Team consisting of MAJCOM Integrated Delivery System and Community Action Information Board members was convened to determine the best way to integrate the success of the Caring for People Forum with the desire to directly hear the concerns of Airmen.

This format was designed to empower Airmen and families at the installation level by giving them the opportunity to voice their concerns or suggestions on Air Force policy and support services.

As a result of the process team's actions the Osan Integrated Delivery System team will be holding the installation's first Caring for People Forum to allow Airmen and families of the Osan community an opportunity to voice their concerns or ideas on policy and support services.

In order to make this event a success the base's IDS team is looking for military members, civilians, spouses and retirees to join discussion groups focusing on the following areas: Family Support, Housing Support, Spouse Communications, School Support, Health and Wellness, Single Airman Support, Special Needs Family Member.

Based on inputs gleaned from the Caring for People Forum, Osan leadership will have the opportunity to create visible improvements in specific areas which affect the Osan community daily.

For those wishing to be a part of bringing change and improving Air Force quality of life programs and activities for all Airmen and their family members then please take the opportunity to volunteer and offer inputs for the Caring for People Forum.

The Caring for People Forum is scheduled for June 2 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Professional Development Center Building 788. Seats are limited so don't wait too long to volunteer.

For more information or to volunteer for the forum email Ms. Beth Thomas at beth.thomas@osan.af.mil or call 784-5010.
