During Operational Readiness Exercise Beverly Midnight 11-02, SERE Instructors evaluated a downed pilot scenario in Jeugaun, Republic of Korea, March 16. With a simulated push to the ground, Capt. Miles Newsome demonstrated some of the many air rescue techniques to save his life; he gathered all evidence of his landing and concealed it with nearby brush. Then the captain began communications with the A-10 providing cover for rescue efforts. (U.S Air Force photos/Staff Sgt. Daylena Gonzalez)
