Lakes at Osan hosts base championship golf tournament

OSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea --  The Lakes at Osan Golf Course held the 2010 Osan Base Championship Golf Tournament this past weekend, Oct. 2 and Oct. 3. The tournament was a 36-hole stroke play and was open to all U.S. active-duty men and women assigned to Osan, as well as Department of Defense civilians assigned to Osan, Korean base employees and Republic of Korea Air Force members assigned here.

A total of 98 people signed up to participate in the tournament, and out of those, there could only be four champions.

The U.S. Active-Duty Military Champion was Maj. Michael Oldenkamp with a score of 144, the DoD/Civilian Champion was Joey McCoy with a score of 156, the Korean Employee Champion was Mun Sik Chong, with a score of 152, and the ROK Military Champion was Master Sgt. Chang Ho Shin, with a score of 153.
