Teen Center to host talent contest Published Feb. 28, 2007 By 51st Services Squadron OSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea -- "The family that gets up on stage together, stays together." Isn't that how the old cliché goes? If not, it should as the 51st Services Squadron and the Teen Center host the 2007 Family and Teen Talent Contest. On March 31, the Teen Center invites moms, dads, brothers and sisters to sing, dance and perform together in the family-oriented event. Contestants can enter in one of 15 categories: parent-and-child team; husband-and-wife team; children (ages 3-5); children (ages 6-8); preteen solo (ages 9-12); preteen group (ages 9-12); teen solo (ages 13-15); teen group (ages 13-15); teen solo (ages 16-18); teen group (ages 16-18); and family. The contest will begin at 4 p.m. at Osan American High School. The deadline for contestants to sign up is March 24. The entire community is invited to come out and enjoy this annual family event. Videotapes or DVDs of base winners will be submitted for an Air Force-level contest. "We invite everyone to enjoy an evening of entertainment while cheering for their coworkers and neighbors," said Amy Maness, Osan Teen Programs Coordinator.
