The annual Combined Federal Campaign, which allows federal employees to donate to more than 2,500 eligible nonprofit organizations, closed out Dec. 6.

Team Osan managed to raise more than $180,000 this year, with an average per-capita contribution of $36 to help provide health and human-service benefits throughout the world.

"The goal this year of making 100 percent contact and giving every person a chance to donate was met," said Capt. Larry Sepassi, 36th Aircraft Maintenance Unit assistant officer in charge.

The campaign was extended to Dec. 6 to give people more time to donate after the government shutdown.

Master Sgt. Keveya Sturkey, 51st Fighter Wing law office superintendent, said the effort put forth by the CFC representatives, along with the generous donations from service members and their civilian counterparts, made the season a success.

"This year brought us some unique challenges with the government shutdown," said Sturkey. "I am glad we were still able to raise so much money."
