Osan Airmen recently celebrated National Police Week with a weapons and vehicle display and free fingerprinting at the base exchange; a 5k fun-run; and a ceremonial retiring of two Airmen who were killed in the line of duty. In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week.
