Fire Prevention Week: Local students visit fire department

A student, dressed in firefighter gear, picks up a 50-pound dummy system during a visit to the Osan Fire Department Oct. 12, 2011. As a part of Fire Prevention Week, 21 students from a local Korean middle school toured the Osan Fire Department and got to see firsthand how a firefighter lives day to day. The students got to see several tools of the trade, learned about what a firefighter’s day is like and got a fire truck and ladder truck demonstration. Fire Prevention Week is the longest running public health and safety observance on record. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Chad Thompson)
