Airmen celebrate Police Week

Osan Airmen recently celebrated National Police Week with a weapons and vehicle display and free fingerprinting at the base exchange; a 5k fun-run; and a ceremonial retiring of two Airmen who were killed in the line of duty. In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week. Thousands of law enforcement agencies around the world celebrate the week to remember the heroes who have been killed in the line of duty. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Chad Thompson)
