Osan pilot ‘rescued’ during readiness exercise
During Operational Readiness Exercise Beverly Midnight 11-02, SERE instructors evaluated a downed pilot scenario in Jeugaun, Republic of Korea, March 16. With a simulated push to the ground, the pilot demonstrated some of the many air-rescue techniques to save his life; he gathered all evidence of his landing and concealed it with nearby brush. Then the captain began communications with the A-10 providing cover for rescue efforts. (U.S Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Daylena Gonzalez)
