VORTAC decommissioned

A Tactical Air Navigation System, TACAN, antenna is removed from the Very High Omni-Range radome at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, June 4. The antenna was part of the Very High Omni-Range/Tactical Air Navigation System, or VORTAC, used to guide pilots safely to the airfield for approach in adverse weather conditions. The VORTAC was recently decommissioned as a new system was installed and control was turned over to the Republic of Korea Air Force. (Courtesy photo)
