SAR team shines during EMI
Search and recovery team members from the 51st Support Squadron at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea walk in a line to accurately identify evidence after a simulated suicide bombing scenario during a base-wide emergency management inspection April 7. First the team performs open ranks to get them in at an equal distance, after a straight line is formed the take one step at a time looking for evidence. Search and recovery is the systematic process of searching an accident site for human remains and personal effects, recording the location, plotting the remains, delivery to a collection point for identification.
