Osan Airmen typhoon ready
Tropical Storm Danas advances towards the western North Pacific during typhoon season, July 19, 2019. This region annually experiences tropical cyclone effects between June and October. For Osan Air Base and the surrounding Korean Peninsula, the 51st Civil Engineer Squadron’s Emergency Management flight provides response and recovery crisis management and the 51st Operations Support Squadron’s weather flight forecasts climate to keep the installation’s personnel and assets equipped to survive a storm and other natural disasters.
