51st Civil Engineer Squadron tests mobile aircraft arresting system
A U.S. Air Force Firefighter assigned to the 51st Civil Engineer Squadron, inspects the cord of a Mobile Aircraft Arresting System (MAAS) at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Sept. 12, 2022, as part of a week-long training event. The MAAS reduces the chances of a crash by reducing the time and space required for an aircraft to make a full landing in the event of a damaged flightline.
