Buddy Squadron Connects Airmen to Mission

U.S. Air Force Airmen look at the flightline from atop a control tower during a Buddy Squadron event at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Oct. 6, 2023. The Buddy Squadron program offers Airmen from Osan the opportunity to step out of their usual roles for a day and immerse themselves in the operational mission of the 51st Fighter Wing. This includes engaging experiences such as flight line tours, hands-on interactions with fighter jets, and simulations in flight training. The mission of the 51st Fighter Wing is to provide combat-ready forces for close air support, air strike control and forward air control in the defense of the Republic of Korea.
