Osan Airmen enhance readiness through combatives certification

U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Kyle Virgillio, 5th Combat Communications Support Squadron master combatives instructor, reviews course material with Airmen from the 621st Air Control Squadron during a combatives instructor certification course at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Feb. 23, 2024. Airmen benefit in many ways from learning combative techniques such as being able to defend themselves and maintaining their physical fitness. The 621st ACS and 607th Air Operations Center intend to utilize the new certifications to tailor a combatives program to their operational needs and enhance their ability to support the 51st Fighter Wing’s combat lethality.
