51st CES hone response techniques during UFS24
A U.S. Air Force Airman assigned to the 51st Civil Engineer Squadron practices rescue operations in a simulated fire during Ulchi Freedom Shield 24 at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Aug. 22, 2024. After completing the training, the firefighters were briefed on their performance, addressing the importance of remaining vigilant and ensuring the safety of personnel and assets. Training is conducted throughout the year to generate combat airpower at a moment’s notice, affirming the commitment to the ROK remains ironclad and ensures regional stability throughout the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command. UFS24 is an annual combined exercise conducted in support of the U.S.-ROK Mutual Defense Treaty that highlights the U.S. commitment to the alliance.
