OSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea -- -- The 51st Comptroller Squadron continues to lead the charge and support customers using the Air Force Comptroller Services Portal.
New improvements to the Air Force CSP provide avenues for finance technicians to track the required documents for each customer. The features allow finance technicians to dialogue with customers that need additional information to complete a ticket. The innovative service eliminates the time spent on Airmen showing up without the proper documentation to complete a requested service.
The 51st CPTS leads Pacific Air Forces with more than 17,000 successfully processed portal requests since Nov. 9, 2020.
The portal enables everyday Air Force users to submit, review and track service queries for military, civilian and travel pay directly with the help of finance technicians. The change has enhanced the way Airmen handle their important financial responsibilities and aims to significantly reduce the amount of unproductive time spent waiting for assistance in a lobby.
“We’ve found that Airmen working shift work were having a hard time making it to the finance office to handle their financial responsibilities,” said Maj. Joseph Andersen, 51st CPTS commander. “This portal has helped our internal operation times while simultaneously meeting the need of every Airman. If any Airmen has a question, they can reach out to us anytime, anywhere with the click of the golden dollar sign on their work desktop.”
Andersen said this service allows Airmen to recharge, possibly visit the USO, multi-task with family and other obligations while they wait for their time with a technician.
The portal allows the finance staff to work more tickets with a faster resolution time for customers on all work shifts.
