OSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea -- Senior Airman De’Loleik Wells is no stranger to hard work. A Uniontown, Pennsylvania native, she was born into a military family and her father served honorably in both the U.S. Air Force and Army. Throughout her life she credits her Mother as the super woman example that inspires her today. Her parents and accomplished sisters created a foundation for Wells that infuses her passion to serve with pride.

Wells currently serves as an A-10 inspections journeyman. Her responsibilities consist of aiding a team of maintainers on the A-10 to ensure its availability for missions at Osan Air Base. She’s involved with shift leading, training and multiple additional duties.

As a 5-level, Wells has proven to be a valuable asset to the team by attaining certifications and was nominated for STEP Promotion.

During her time, she has contributed to the rejuvenation the Women’s Maintainer Network. The network gave female maintainers a voice and an outlet, as well as provide perspective for both men and women serving together. With the help of 51 MXS leaders, she led the efforts that helped achieve the fundraising record for the 2021 AFAF Campaign.

Wells, known to be an active participant at work and in the community, went above and beyond and received a coin and other acknowledgement by her commander here for saving an Airman’s life.

Wells’ Note: “I have honestly accomplished a lot here at Osan with the help of my leadership, but my biggest flex has to be the people I have encountered both on and off shift while being here. Osan has enabled me in countless ways and I can’t wait to see what the rest of my tour brings.”
