I also audit network utilization to identify fraud, waste, and abuse. Time in the military: 19 Months Time at Osan: 11 Months DEROS: April 2012 Hometown: Santa Clara, Calif. Hobbies: Riding motorcycles, snowboarding, working out, and pretty much anything outdoors. Why did you join the military? I joined the Air Force because I wanted stability for my daughter. I knew if I joined the Air Force, I would be able to provide for her. The Air Force also gave me the chance to travel the world, got me started on my career in information technology, and allowed me to go to school. Where do you see yourself in 10 to 20 years? I see myself back in California working in IT either in the Air Force or in the civilian sector. What do you do for fun here? I have taken advantage of a lot of the trips offered by ITT and Outdoor Recreation. Going out and seeing Korea has been amazing. What is the best part of being at Osan? The best part about being here at Osan is the camaraderie amongst the rank and file. Being at Osan has its own unique challenges and having good leadership that brings everyone together helps out a lot. What is the most memorable moment of your tour here, so far? The most memorable moment I had here was Mudfest. It was not like any other experience I have ever had. If you're stationed at Osan, it's a must. What's your favorite Air Force memory or story? It is so tough to pick just one. I have been very fortunate from basic until now. In basic, it was definitely graduation day, seeing how proud my family was of me. In tech school, I met a great group of friends who I will never forget. What accomplishment are you most proud of? The accomplishment that I am most proud of is the remedial PT program that I have led for the 51st Communication Squadron. I have helped out people that need some guidance with their PT and seeing the success has been priceless. Who are your role models? My role models are my parents. They both have always been very supportive of me. They have both inspired me to be a great parent to my daughter.
