With a thunderous opening, the Air Force's premiere entertainment group Tops in Blue hosted two free performances at Osan Air Base Nov. 26.

Composed of 35 to 40 of the most talented active duty vocalists, musicians, dancers and technicians TiB is touring across the globe entertaining service members following the theme "Rhythm Nation."

"It was a fun, energetic show that covered all genres of music," said Staff Sgt. Kathy Girouard, 51st Communications Squadron. "The performers did an amazing job demonstrating their musical talents. My favorite part was the William Hung impersonation from the American Idol audition."

The high paced tour now in its 57th season will be performed in more than 125 locations and in approximately 25 countries during the 2011-2012 season.

"I thought the show was incredible," said Tech. Sgt. Ca Mecia Parks-McLean, 51st Fighter Wing staff. "My favorite part was when the Blues Brothers interrupted the song 'Soul Man' and took over."

When asked what his favorite part of TiB was Staff Sgt. Ben Sickbert, 51st CS said, "It'd probably be a toss-up between the Rock-n-Roll mash-up and the Motown section."

Since its inception Tops in Blue has performed in venues such as motion pictures, recording studios, the Super Bowl, Ed Sullivan Show and the World's Fair.
