Job Title: 51 FW, Wing Emissions Security (EMSEC) NCOIC

Job Description and its impact on the mission: The protection resulting from all measures taken to deny unauthorized personnel information of value that might be derived from communications systems and cryptographic equipment intercepts and the interception and analysis of compromising emanations from cryptographic, information, and telecommunications systems.
The impact EMSEC has on the mission is that my office ensures valuable classified information cannot be intercepted by the enemy and used against all branches of the military.

Hobbies: Spending time with family and friends, singing and watching movies

Why did you join the military? I am from a military background; it is all I knew/know. I wanted to continue the legacy of my mother, father, and family and I wanted to travel.

Where do you see yourself in 10 to 20 years? Retired as a chief master sergeant

What do you do for fun here? Go on trips around Korea and hanging out with friends and co-workers

What would you like to change about Osan? Nothing comes to mind at this time. This has only been my second base in 12 years of service, so I enjoyed the newness and change of pace Osan AB offered.

What is the best part of being at Osan? Camaraderie. It is a home away from home and everyone is family here.

What is the most memorable moment of your tour here, so far? Being told I was going to be the NCOIC of the Wing EMSEC program, which I had no training and no clue of what EMSEC was, but still rose to the challenge and have been labeled the "EMSEC guru" thus far.

What's your favorite Air Force memory or story? Being coined by Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force McKinley

What accomplishment are you most proud of? With the extensive workload preparing for two major & overlapping inspections...Information Assurance Assistance Program (IAAP) inspection and the Command Cyber Readiness Inspection (CCRI), my team and I stayed grounded and focused on the mission, passing both inspections.

Who are your role models? My grandmother, mother, my supervisor, Tech. Sgt. Stubbs, and my branch chief, Master Sgt. Jones.
