Time in the military: Six years Time at Osan: Five months DEROS: June 2011 Family: Both my parents grew up in a small town in Texas. My dad is part-owner of a furniture business and my mom is a manager of a Wal-Mart. I have one older brother who is also in the Air Force. Hometown: Floresville, Texas Hobbies: Working out, sports, music and travel. Why did you join the military? To do something meaningful with my life. Where do you see yourself in 10 or 20 years? Working in the medical field as a commissioned officer in the Air Force. What do you do for fun here? Go to the gym and travel with friends. What's your favorite Air Force memory or story? My joint forces deployment; I remember the first time I went on a convoy mission with the Army unit I was assigned to ... it was a four-hour drive and I was in the back of the vehicle staring out the window. I remembered in the convoy brief it was stated to call out anything unusual on the road; I was so nervous that I started calling out everything I saw on the road, the guys just started laughing and my platoon sergeant said, "well, at least we know you're observant." What accomplishment are you most proud of? My Bronze Star Who are your role models? My parents, because they taught me how to stand up for what I believe in and always take pride in myself.
