Thanksgiving Greeting Published Nov. 24, 2009 By Chief Master Sgt. Michael Williams 51st Fighter Wing Command Chief OSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea -- Charlene, Dominique and I wish you all a very festive and safe Thanksgiving. This time of year appears to bring out the best in mankind; we pause to give thanks for our blessings and set aside our differences to ensure those that are less fortunate are able to enjoy the holiday season. Yes, this is definitely our favorite time of the year; however, for others this time of year is filled with depression, loneliness and sadness. For some of our Airmen this is their first time away from their family during the holiday season. Therefore, as we enjoy this Thanksgiving I encourage you to be mindful of those silent adversaries (depression, loneliness and sadness) and take care of our wingmen. The threat to South Korean is real; we need each of you to accomplish the mission here at Osan! I'm proud to be part of the Mustang Team; standing as guardians of freedom protecting the freedoms that millions of people around the globe would love to have, the freedoms that millions of Americans enjoy, and the very freedoms that millions of Americans take for granted. Please be safe, make responsible choices, look out for your wingman and we'll see you great Americans around campus. - Chief Williams
