Passenger terminal offers free candy screening Published Oct. 28, 2007 By Staff Sgt. Benjamin Rojek 51st Fighter Wing Public Affairs OSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea -- The 731st Air Mobility Squadron will conduct free X-ray and screenings of Halloween candy at the passenger terminal from 6-9 p.m. Oct. 31. X-ray screening takes about one minute and is completely safe, said 1st Lt. Laura Apeldoorn, 731st AMS passenger services officer in charge. "With the raise (in the number) of both military and dependants, 731st AMS would like to help put the parents as ease," said Lieutenant Apeldoorn. "This service is also offered at many other bases with passenger terminals as well. The squadron thought it would be nice to offer it here." This is the first time the passenger terminal has offered this service in at least 15 years. For more information, call the passenger terminal at 784-1854 or 784-1129.
