Lady Mustangs win basketball tournament

OSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea --  The Lady Mustangs, based here at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, won the Peninsula-wide Daegu Thanksgiving Invitational Basketball tournament Nov. 28-30.

The three-day tournament pitted the team against competition from across the country.

Made up of active duty members and dependents, the Lady Mustangs completed a perfect run in the tourney, going 7-0 to earn the championship.

On their road to victory, the Mustangs defeated basketball teams from Yongsan, Camp Humphreys, Daegu, and Area 1.

The team played four games on Friday to secure the #1 seed heading into the elimination rounds where they beat Daegu 69-50, Area 1 54-52, and Area 1 again 62-50 for the championship.

The Lady Mustangs along with the Men's Varsity team will play here Dec. 13 and Dec. 19-23, hosting the PACAF-wide Christmas Invitational.
