Name: Dylan Kincaid Gunter

Unit: 51st Maintenance Squadron

Job title: Electrical and Environmental Inspection Team Member

Job description and its impact on the overall mission: I perform scheduled, unscheduled, and phase inspections on 52 assigned aircraft covering 23 different systems, 100+ components, miles of wiring, and yards of air ducting. I am unique compared to most electricians stationed at Osan AB because I am qualified to do everything on both the A-10 and F-16. I complete phase inspections on both airframes and sometimes assist the 25th/36th AMU with various jobs. Our phase inspections add longevity and sustainability to aircraft that are older than I am. This allows aircraft to keep flying past their original designed airframe time to ensure our pilots are able to sustain their combat capabilities.

What's your favorite Air Force memory or story? My favorite Air Force memory is being deployed and experiencing a group of people that did not know each other come together as more than co-workers but as a family.

What accomplishment are you most proud of? I am most proud to say that I have been involved in helping the success of the A-10, F-16, and the KC-135 mission. I have been directly a part of something bigger than myself and I am proud to be part of that prestigious team
