The 694th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group held a change of command May 21 at the 5th Reconnaissance Squadron Hangar on Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea.

Col. Shane Hamilton, 694th ISRG outgoing commander, relinquished command to Col. Andrew Torelli, 694th ISRG inbound commander.

"I am honored and humbled to be the ISRG's newest commander and being responsible for leading and taking care of our country's most important resource: our Airmen," Torelli said.

Torelli came from the ISR Forces Division in the Directorate of Intelligence at Headquarters Air Combat Command, Langley Air Force Base, Virginia. He was responsible for A2 intelligence training, manpower, deployments and resources.

Torelli brings a leadership style to serve as a simple and powerful model to take care of his Airmen, build partnerships and ensure mission readiness. Torelli focuses on three T's: tone, tenacity and teamwork.

The tone aspect is to stay calm, be positive, have a winning attitude and display civility.

The tenacity aspect is to never give up, gut through hard problems, present solutions to problems and take the initiative.

The teamwork aspect is to be a wingman. We are part of a diverse family who builds partnerships. This also focuses on insulating and not isolating each other.

Torelli hopes to set up his Airmen for success to ensure the mission readiness is continued for their successors.

"I want to enable all of the 694th warriors every day while playing a critical role in our national defense," Torelli said. "I also want to ensure that we are the ever present sentinels who watch and listen to enable decision superiority against northern aggression."
