A new program has hit the ground running to help improve the fitness level of Airmen on Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea.

The fitness center provides the Evolution 2 Excellence program to help Airmen reach or maintain a 90 percent or higher on their fitness assessment test. The E2E program supports the 51st Fighter Wings vision of 80 percent of Mustangs achieving excellent PT scores.

"Being physically fit is an important of being in the military," said Senior Airman Esua Greer, 51st Force Support Squadron fitness specialist. "This class can help people learn what they need to do when they are working out to better themselves physically."

The nine-week course is held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and concentrates on improving full body strength, sprints and distance running.

The program begins with a mock physical training test to assess the fitness level participants. The tests are conducted every three weeks throughout the course to see where the Airmen are improving and struggling to adjust the program to focus on the areas that need to be worked on.

"My run time is slower than I want it to be, and I was looking for a program to challenge me," said Master Sgt. Ericka List, 607th AOC space duty technician. "I hope this course will help me improve my running ability and increase my push-ups."

Greer hopes the Airmen will leave the program in better shape than when the course began.

"I want them to improve their all-around fitness and stay motivated to continue working out once they have finished the course," Greer said. "I want the participants to not only enjoy the program, but continue to increase their level of fitness because it's healthy for them and it will help improve their fitness test scores."
