Job title: Family Health Medical Technician

Job description and its impact on the overall mission: Receives, screens and ensures proper disposition of patient - to include pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics reporting for medical care. Obtains and reports appropriate information and vital signs in the patient's outpatient medical records. Assists with patient examination and minor surgeries. Performs procedures such as suture removal, dressing changes, intravenous therapy, irrigation and nebulizer treatment under the direction of a provider. Overall mission is to provide healthcare to ensure forces are medically fit and ready to fight tonight.

Why did you join the military? I joined to travel and for benefits.

Where do you see yourself in 10 or 20 years? Happily married with no children and traveling around the world.

What do you do for fun here? Go to sports and entertainment events through Information, Tickets and Travel.

What's your favorite Air Force memory or story? How I've changed though my short time in the United States Air Force. I can look back and see how far I've come since leaving for basic military training in July 2012. The Air Force has made me better as a person.

What accomplishment are you most proud of? Being coined by the Chief of Staff of the Air Force and the Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force.

Who are your role models?
My mother is a great inspiration to me because of the difficult situations she encountered throughout her life, and her endeavors to overcome them. Graduating from nursing school while taking care of her family has shown me what hard work she went through even when everything around her was crumbling.
