Job description and its impact on the overall mission: I work in emergency management training. We also teach the base about localized seasonal and wartime hazards.

Time in the military: Three years two months

Time at Osan: Two months

DEROS: November 2014

Family: Dad, mom, and five siblings

Hometown: Laurens, N.Y.

Hobbies: Reading, running, arts and crafts, learning about anything and everything.

Why did you join the military? I joined the military in order to gain a skill set and pay for college without going into debt.

Where do you see yourself in 20 years? If I am still in the Air Force 20 years from now, I'd like to be a chief master sergeant and be able to lead young Airmen and help them achieve their goals. If I am not in the Air Force, then I would like to be able to see all there is to see - sail the oceans, backpack the countries, volunteer for a Mars One mission. There is so much to do and see, and our lives are so short. I'd like to make every moment count.

What do you do for fun here? Run, watch Netflix, go on Information, Tickets and Travel trips, read, play darts, pool, monopoly and basketball with my shop. I am really enjoying the flight camaraderie.

What's your favorite Air Force memory or story? Tops in Blue allowed me to participate in their 2012 World Wide Talent Contest, and the people I met there are some of the most motivated and talented individuals that I have had the pleasure of meeting.

What accomplishment are you most proud of? I am most proud of being the deployment manager for the 11th Civil Engineer Squadron out of Joint Base Andrews, Md., for the past two years. It gave me a perspective on the Air Force mission that I hadn't been able to see before, and helped to develop my work ethic and sense of duty to both the Air Force and myself.

Who are your role models? My parents, my current supervisor, Tech. Sgt. Anna Olson, and my wingman and best friend since technical school, Senior Airman Michelle Bascom.
