Legal Assistance & Wills
The Legal Office provides free, confidential legal assistance on personal, civil legal matters to eligible clients of the 51 FW, including active duty or retired military members and their dependents.
Legal Assistance attorneys can prepare wills and advance medical directives, including living wills and medical powers of attorney. If you wish to have an attorney prepare a will for you, please visit the Air Force Legal Assistance Website, complete the Estate Planning Package, and email your ticket number to 51fw.ja.workflow@us.af.mil.
Notary Services
The Legal Office can prepare general and special powers of attorney and provides notary services. These services are provided on a walk-in basis Monday through Thursday from 0900-1600, and Fridays from 0900-1200. We are closed for lunch from 1200-1300 daily. Please bring your valid government issued ID card when visiting the Legal Office.
Claims
The U.S. Army is responsible for all claims in South Korea. Please call the U.S. Armed Forces Claims Service in Korea and assists 8th Army as needed at DSN 757-2631/2632 (US Claims Assistance) or DSN 757-2636/2637 (Foreign Claims Assistance).
For Household Goods claims, please contact the carrier first. If they do not respond in a timely manner, please contact the Air Force Claims Service Center (AFCSC) at https://claims.jag.af.mil/
For claims arising from disasters, food spoilage, thefts, vandalism, etc., contact the AFCSC.
Marriage
Marriage (Form 41) Briefing, every other Monday at 1300 hours.

Once complete, please email your certificate and reenlistment worksheet to 51fw.ja.workflow@us.af.mil to be signed off on this requirement.
