U.S. Airmen and Soldiers Support Seoul Air Show

U.S. military families are invited to the Seoul International Air Show, Tuesday-Sunday 9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Oct. 16-21, during the Korea Aerospace and Defense Exhibition in Seongnam City.

The air show is open to the general public Oct. 20-21 at the Seoul K-16 Airport, a tenant air base co-located with the Seoul Airport in Seongnam, about 12 miles southeast of Yongsan Garrison. On public days (Oct. 20-21) youth under the age of 3 years old enter free. Tickets are on sale for adults and children 4 years or older.

The event is free to DoD card holders. For others, tickets are on sale for $8 and are available online at www.interpark.com or Hana Bank Branches throughout Korea. On business days (Oct. 16-19), the air show is open only to adults 18 years and older, and pricing varies. To find out more about the air show, visit www.seoulairshow.com.

Spectators can expect to see aircraft from more than 50 nations around the world. U.S. airpower at the event includes: 
A-10 from 51st Fighter Wing, Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea 
F-16 and F-16CJ from 14th Fighter Squadron/35th Fighter Wing, Misawa Air Base, Japan 
AH-64D Apache Helicopter from the 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 8th Army, Republic of Korea 
F-15C from 67th Fighter Squadron/18th Fighter Wing, Kadena Air Base, Japan

The United States is participating as part of the alliance partnership with the Republic of Korea.

"Our great men and women are proud to participate and support the Seoul International Air Show," said Lt. James Nichols, 7th Air Force, U.S. public affairs officer for the event.
"Our U.S. aircraft performances are just part of the trained, ready and committed joint airpower team supporting the ROK-US alliance."

The air show features numerous commercial and military displays as well, including an extensive lineup of conferences and technology symposium.
