Job title: Town patrolman

Job description and its impact on the overall mission: I provide force protection and law enforcement duties on and off Osan Air Base. Law enforcement duties occupy most of my time, but overall, force protection duties keep Osan safe. Town patrol helps enforce local laws and regulations, and most importantly, maintains a safe environment for all personnel in the Songtan Entertainment District.

Time in the military: Three-and-a-half years

Time at Osan: 17 months

Family: My father, Duane, mother, Lisa, and brother, Matt. My father is a retired U.S. Air Force member and my brother served in the Army.

Hometown: Papillion, Neb.

Hobbies: I enjoy weightlifting, running, biking and traveling.

Why did you join the military? I joined the military to follow in the footsteps of my father and grandfather. I also wanted to serve my country and be a part of a team, instead of partying life away in college.

Where do you see yourself in 10 or 20 years? It's hard to look that far ahead with a career in the military, but hopefully, in 10 or 20 years I will be in a job where I can have an impact on younger Airmen and motivate them to do the best they can do.

What do you do for fun here? Here, I spend a lot of my free time at the gym, or studying to get more personal trainer certifications. I also travel to watch my supervisor compete in Jiu Jitsu tournaments.

What's your favorite Air Force memory or story? A lot of my favorite memories are those I've experienced while on town patrol. Amazing things happen in the Songtan Entertainment District!

What accomplishment are you most proud of? I'm most proud of obtaining my three personal trainer certifications and making staff sergeant my first time testing.

Who are your role models? My role models are Capt. David Nugent, Master Sgt. Rodney Dove, Tech. Sgt. Jason Winkle, and Staff Sgt. Branden Tanaka, who all motivate me to do my best and have had significant impact on my career so far.
