We also keep active duty military ready to deploy. Time in service: 5 years Time at Osan: 8 months DEROS: December 2011 Family: Husband, Staff Sgt. Josh Martinez, 51st Maintenance Operations Squadron Hometown: Killeen, Texas Hobbies: World traveling, working out, reading science literature and spending time with family. Why did you join the military? To put in my part in defending our nation, see other countries and to further my technical education. Where do you see yourself in 10 or 20 years? In 20 years I see myself either getting ready to retire or furthering my responsibilities with progression in rank - chief master sergeant is my goal. What do you do for fun here? Travel. ITT has many opportunities to see South Korea and what it has to offer. What's your favorite Air Force memory or story? Attending Gen. William R. Looney's Order of the Sword ceremony and meeting and talking with a few chief master sergeant's of the Air Force. What accomplishment are you most proud of? Having the opportunity to serve in the U.S. Air Force, not many have that opportunity. Who are your role models? I don't have one role model. The people I look up to are the leaders who can take charge in a way that the followers have pride in supporting them, who also can take the weight when times get heavy and who also give credit where it's due.
