Mustang 1 offers holiday wishes Published Dec. 22, 2008 By Col. Tom Deale 51st Fighter Wing commander OSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea -- Team Osan, Happy Holidays! What a year 2008 has been. We have accomplished a tremendous amount this past year. All of Team Osan should be proud. This holiday season offers us time that is too often pushed aside due to heavy work demands and the rigors of everyday life. I encourage you to take advantage of the lighter workload, and use the time off to renew yourself. Catch up on rest and spend quality time with your families, friends and even yourself. Also, use this opportunity to get out and see Korea through ITT, Airman and Family Readiness Center and the numerous other programs available here at Osan. For the majority of you here without family, realize you are not alone. Make sure to keep in contact with your families and loved ones back at home, but also join your Air Force family to maximize this wonderful season. If you are here with family, cherish it and remember your responsibility to your fellow Airman. Reach out and take care of those who live and work next to you. Invite them to events and let them know you care. Also, don't forget to reach out to our Korean friends and allies. Make sure to be good American ambassadors and good neighbors by volunteering, acting responsibly and taking care of your wingman. It is a distinct honor to serve with each of you. I look forward to working with you as we continue to provide mission-ready Airmen to execute combat operations and receive follow-on forces. Remember your fellow Mustang this holiday season, and enjoy a safe, relaxing holiday.
